The drop in Centre offers a library, a series of Diabtetes Products and a disposal of sharpes service.

The centre holds a large range of up to date books, magazines and leaflets covering a range of different topics. These are available for members to borrow, click here for more information.

Diabetes Products

We stock a wide range of diabetes relates products at the Drop-In Centre, which we sell at very competitive prices:

Blood Testing Meters We stock four types of blood testing devices and demonstration models available with a comparison sheet outlining the features of each product.

Finger Prickers and other items We have a good range of finger prickers, with a selection of lancets. We also stock other supplies such as glucose tablets, pen needles and bags to keep meters and supplies protected.

Cookbooks and Food We have quite a good range of specialist cookbooks. These books can provide some refreshing alternatives to a routine diet which many people with diabetes become accustomed to. We also stock a wide range of jams, sauces and toppings.

Barnaby merchandise Barnaby is the mascot of diabetes societies in New Zealand, and in some parts of Australia. The original soft toy bee, and now Barnaby Junior make good presents for kids and grandchildren.

Disposal of sharps

Diabetes Wellington has available a facility for disposing of sharps, strips and other diabetes consumables. The bin is supplied and disposed of by Medical Waste Ltd, and all members need to do is drop the various items into Diabetes Wellington Drop-In Centre there is no charge for this service.
